Karine Wascher

Karine Wascher is a RYT 200 certified yoga teacher, with a 20 year personal practice.

Through the Yoga on High Foundation, Karine teaches healing classes for those who have been Touched by Cancer and also to inmates at the Marion Correctional institute.  She has also taught yoga at local rehab treatment centers.

Karine’s personal yogic journey inspired her to share the benefits of reiki, essential oil therapy and mindfulness with the community.

Karine has studied with numerous inspiring teachers such as Linda Oshins, Richard Freeman, Leslie Karminoff, Pathabi Jois and Josh Summers.  Karine continues to immerse herself in the teachings of yoga, and loves to learn both from master teachers and from her students.

Originally from Montreal, Karine grew up in a lively Haitian-Austrian family, speaking French, Creole, German and English. She credits her “joie de vivre”, love of music and openness to her multi-ethnic background. She earned a BFA in Design from Concordia University and after a 20 year career in fashion in which she co-led a start up company to worldwide expansion,  she became a certified yoga teacher when she moved to Columbus.

Off the mat, Karine is an avid reader, artist, music lover, devoted mother, wife and absolute free spirit with a wicked sense of humor.
